🍷 5 Star Stops On Bowen Island to Save

🐟 Restaurants:

  1. Tuscany Restaurant: great for a night out, anniversary, date night. Italian Trattoria and stone oven pizza in a character home by the water.

  2. Barcelona Tapas & Wine Bar: amazing sharables, table hangs etc. Spanish tapas with local wines served. The menu is made of locally sourced & sustainable seafood, hormone & antibiotic-free meats.

  3. Doc Morgan's Pub: sunny patio, tasty aps, 10/10 burgers

  4. The Snug Cafe: right by the ferry line, cozy spot to grab a coffee/tea

  5. Bowen Island Pub: spacious, only indoor seating, but perfect for quenching your thirst with a tasty beer from a day’s worth of hikes

☕️ Cafes:

  1. The Branch Restaurant & Cafe: Located on the historic marina pier with views of Snug Cove Harbour, they serve fresh-made tacos, Earnest Ice Cream and bowls to go

  2. The Ruddy Potato Cafe: Serving hot and cold drinks, espresso, local matcha, pastries, sandwiches soups and sweet treats

  3. Artisan Eats Cafe & Fine Foods: arguably the best view in the town with their outdoor patio, they offer homemade brioche buns, poached eggs, lemon & white wine hollandaise, breakfast potatoes and much more

  4. The Village Baker: home of good food, flavorful Milano coffee and great service. Hours are unique, but they make the best homemade bread so they get to make the rules.

🌳 Hike of the Month: LightHouse Lane

This trail is a stunner from start to finish. Some stats:

  • it’s a 5.5-km loop trail near the south west of Bowen Island, British Columbia.

  • Generally considered a moderately challenging route,

  • takes an average of 1 h 49 min to complete walking, 30ish minutes if you’re running.

  • This is a very popular area for bird watching, hiking, and walking, so you'll likely encounter other people while exploring.

  • The trail is open year-round and is beautiful to visit anytime. Dogs are welcome and may be off-leash in some areas.

  • And if you’re lucky you’ll see some seals like we did a couple days ago
